Too straight forward and too filthy to get back to the so-called hardcore fanbase that bloomed on Modern Life Is War's grave, too kind to belong to the crust/sludge scene, the three hardworkers from BIRDS IN ROW seem to avoid their city as much as labels.Then you can still wonder where do they take place between Modern Life Is War, Kylesa or Cursed. The first ones for the guts unpacking and their heartbreaking spleen, the second for their punk roughness and their abilities to enlight dirt and the last ones for the urging adrenalin discharges.But it is certainly not that. It is hardcore as it is supposed to be played. Period. With passion, deprived of any splendor and made so they can go stuff some asphalt half of the year.And yet, according to the 3000 miles they're dealing with in a twelve months time, if you haven't seen them less than 20 miles from your home, it can only mean two things : you have no friends, or no taste at all. And if there's not much we can do about the first reason, we can sure work on the other one.

Trop frontaux et sales pour récupérer la fan-base des spin off de "hardcore, coeurs à vif" qui ont fleuri sur la tombe de Modern Life Is War, trop à fleur de peau pour être étiquettés crust ou sludge, les trois forçats de BIRDS IN ROW semblent autant fuir leur ville que les étiquettes. Alors tu peux toujours te dire que ça se joue entre Modern Life Is War, Kylesa & Cursed. Les premiers pour le déballage de tripes à ciel ouvert et leur spleen crève-coeur, les seconds pour leur ruguosité punk et leurs facultés à magnifier la fange, et les troisièmes pour leurs décharges d'adrénaline et leur urgence pétrifiante. Mais c'est sûrement pas ça. C'est du hardcore comme il devrait être joué, point barre. Avec passion, dépouillé de toutes futilités et fait pour aller bouffer du bitume la moitié de l'année. Et d'ailleurs avec les 30000 kilomètres qu'ils se tapent par an, si tu les a jamais vu à moins de 20 bornes de chez toi, c'est vraiment que soit t'as pas d'amis soit t'as pas de goût. Et autant pour le premier on peut rien y faire, autant pour le second on va y remédier.
