As if you haven't had enough of these Isis, Cult Of Luna cocksuckers, with their so-called cheesy parts and badass cathartic sonic explosions... Of course, one can wonder about the relevence of playing some post-metal in 2010. But when it's done with such talent, such faith as these three young guys from Laval, either you take your hat off to them, or either your heart is made of dog food. «Lines Breaking Circles», is made for those who are still crying over Breach's split and years when Cult Of Luna still made you have a boner. This is quite a severe reproof to all those who spend more time twitting their promo photos than polishing their art in the studio. These guys are true workaholics and such gifted aesthetes that they're starting to get sickening. Especially knowing that they can kick your ass on stage as well as on your turntable. But you can't really hate them, can you? Not when you listen to these killer choruses sponsored by Kleenex on «Scum Of The Earth» or those huge slaps on «Draft» or again... Alright, enough of this, you already got that it is the same deal as their buddies from Birds In Row : LAVAL EQUALS LIFE.




Ah ça, t'en a bouffé à la pelle, des wagons de suceurs d'Isis, Cult Of Luna et toute la clique, avec leurs accalmies niaises à en crever et leurs explosions soniques trop cathartiques de la mort... Bien sûr que jouer du post-hardcore en 2010 est d'une pertinence plus que discutable... Mais quand c'est joué avec autant de talent, de fougue et de maîtrise que ces trois jeunes lavallois, soit tu t'inclines, soit c'est que t'as de la pâtée pour chien à la place du coeur. "Lines Breaking Circles", c'est pour tous ceux qui chialent encore le split de Breach et les années où Cult Of Luna faisaient encore bander le chaland. C'est une sévère remontée de bretelles pour tous les branleurs qui passent plus de temps à twitter leurs nouvelles photos promos qu'à peaufiner leur art en studio. Ces mecs sont des bourreaux de travail, de fins esthètes tellement doués et perfectionnistes qu'ils en deviennent écoeurants. Surtout qu'ils font pas de détail, foutant tout le monde à l'amende aussi bien sur ta platine que sur scène. Mais tu peux pas vraiment les détester. Pas quand t'écoutes ces choeurs de bâtards sponsorisés par Kleenex sur "Scum Of The Earth" ou les embardées fédératrices de "Draft", ou encore... bon, on va pas te faire un dessin non plus, c'est le même topo que pour leurs buddies de Birds In Row: Laval, la vie.
